 At just 3 months old, Sugar's little heifer fractured her back leg. Long story short, the vet determined that the fracture had created a bone infection and was eating away the healthy bone. She was immediately sent to A&M for surgery. Although Spice is not too fond of the restricted activity part of recovery, she is on her way!

 Meet Panda, one of our newest additions! One look at those eyes and you know how she got her name!
So far we have 5 heifers and 4 bull calves....with more arriving daily!  Every day it seems we have a new addition!! Today Prince George arrived....tomorrow will be another surprise!!
 During the night this little guy joined the herd....I have been banished to the house or the truck since none of the CO girls like me anywhere in sight with a baby on the ground!! Turns out, coyotes are very common where they came from so they are VERY protective of their babies....the other MMH girls don't mind my casual oversight but hey, its warmer inside for any older dog like me!
 Yup...another calving season is in full swing!! Lexius is in labor as we speak but as the years go by, I am not getting any younger. While waiting for Daisy to give birth, I decided to take a nap....after all, let's face it, the humans may LOVE calving season but to me, its just another red calf with a white face!!
 Two of the CO girls gave birth on Saturday to beautiful little heifers!! Twinkle first, followed by Daisy in the evening. Both were very protective and did NOT like a dog approaching - even a little one! Tomorrow we are excited to welcome Sugar and Spice home....
