These days, the reigning King of the MMH herd is SS Sir Wyatt! This good looking bull is co-owned by MMH and Splitt Creek Ranch so he splits time between Texas and Nebraska. We can't wait to see his babies!!!

The not so little guy is doing well and growing as the days pass. We decided to name him Moose...Mabel probably agrees with us! Moose has decided that only a few things in life are worthy of moving around:
1) FOOD!!
2) Playing with his sister
3) FOOD!!
4) FOOD!!
5) checking out the peacock and their big tails....

Since Mabel's baby was so big, he was a little tight for space resulting in some initial tendon issues with his front legs. The good news is after just 2 days at home, he is walking well, keeping up with mom and becoming steadier and stronger with each day! Soon he'll be running with Lucy....

and this time it meant Mabel had to be rushed to the vet for an emergency c-section! Luck was on our side and this BIG little guy was taken out just in time. He and his mom are doing well....for more pictures see the Spring 2012 Gallery pics!

If Dudley couldn't train the "troops", I can certainly say I haven't had any luck either! Each night I make the rounds with the help of my friend Pudge but otherwise, the other dogs are pretty much useless! It appears that this year, the yearling heifers have decided to "help" Lacey take care of little Lucy. They were very curious at her birth and it doesn't seem to have diminished. They are constantly with her and seem very protective. She's a lucky girl!

FINALLY!! TJ's legacy continues with the birth of this beautiful little heifer. Mother and baby are doing well and the yearlings seem just as entranced with the new addition as we are!

Just like that, Priscilla gave birth to a little bull calf out of SS Decker Jack this afternoon. We were there for the birth and there are some great pictures...stayed tuned for a name!
