 And just like that, another calving season begins! With over 30 calves expected this year, MMH has become one of the largest miniature Hereford breeders in Texas! We are looking forward to seeing the CO girls calve....SS Miss Olivia was the first. She had a beautiful heifer on Saturday. Ruby, Cassidy, Asia and Lexius aren't far behind....

 Wyatt loves spending winters in Texas and summers in Nebraska but his reign will soon be challenged. We are adding a new bull to the kingdom this spring. We have been looking long and hard...only a champion will do (Wyatt has 2 major championships) so stay tuned....after all, we can't keep selling all the Wyatt babies! Every time we decide to keep one, someone comes along that just HAS to buy her!!
 With just a week or so to go before calving season officially starts for 2014, some of the girls are as wide as they are tall! Lexius is looking more like octo-mom these days so it won't be long. She has produced her fair share of champions so we're hoping for another!!
 because this is one of the few times this little guy is where he is supposed to be!! He and his buddy spend most of their time walking between barb wire or finding weak spots in a fence that has been fine for 7+ years of cattle raising. They seem to be a fixture on the back road, welcoming neighbors home and exploring others' property. They have about 30 days before weaning time so they'd better make the most of it!!
 These fall born calves aren't letting anyone or anything get in between them and a good meal....this August bull calf and September heifer LOVE feed time! With more than 30 registered mini Hereford calves arriving this year, it could get crowded! 
 We are saddened by the loss of Shiraz....she leaves big hooves to fill. She had personality and persistence...then add her good looks and it was easy to see why she was one of our favorites! She was a champion in her own right and we will miss her!!
