Things are finally starting to warm up after a cold weekend.  Rumor has it, the sun is coming and we'll be back in the 70's soon. 

Its hard to believe it all started with these two...Sugar and Madie.  They are the matriarchs of the herd and this year marks three generations.  Now there are so many cows, its hard for me to tell them all apart!  Madie and Sugar have produced amazing calves each year (TJ and Priscilla, among them).  They are excellent mothers and make sure I keep a good distance from their babies.  Several times, I have barely made it back under the fence!!

In preparation for the cold weather, I supervised the moving of hay into the cow field.  Unforunately, it started to fall apart when it was being rolled into place.  Isis and Sioux didn't seem to mind though....

Where did the warm weather go?!?!?  The cold weather has set in and the cows moved to the "back" field after Elvis and TJ decided to check out the neighbors cows.  Rumor has it we could see snow on Friday.  Isis isn't very happy about that....

Millie and Lizzy may not be actual "twins" but these days they are almost inseparable.  Its hard to believe Lizzy will be a year old at the end of January!
